The Music

We play a mix of classic rock, alt rock, country and pop. We choose our songs based on what we find people enjoy listening to (including us), and songs that we love to play. We accommodate a broad range of tastes, picking songs from across the decades which are suitable for many settings.A sample setlist is included on here, but we are always adding songs so think of the sample setlist as a just that, a sampling of what we can do!

The Band

As moths are attracted to a flame, men of a certain age are drawn to guitars, and the sweet delusion dream that they can rock out like their musical heroes; this is precisely how Throwing Pigs started.A covers band hailing from Lake Highlands (Old Lake Highlands + L Streets), Throwing Pigs is made up of three locals (Mike on Bass, Bennett on lead guitar, and Will on lead vocals and guitar) who play music from the 60s to the 00s.The “Pigs” play a mix of classic rock, alt rock, country and pop, playing songs that most people would definitely tap their feet and nod their heads to.

Mike aka “Big Cat” | Bass GuitarThis is no alley cat. Poised and refined, this feline is majestic on the Thunderstick. Kitty has claws, and he uses them to slap da bass until it purrs.

Bennett aka “Goldilocks” | Lead Guitar + VocalsBorn with magic in his hands, but this ain’t no fairy tale. Goldilocks doesn’t fear bears, he hunts them as aggressively as he hunts for killer riffs.

Will aka “Patches” | Lead Vocals + Rhythm GuitarRainbows only come after rain, and following a brutal Texas thunderstorm, Patches was found where the pot of gold was supposed to be. No coins in his pockets, but Patches had a song in his heart.
